The fact is that if you are white, you are participating and benefiting from a system that gives you advantages that the vast majority of Black people cannot ever enjoy. I’m not saying that it’s all on white people, and that Blacks shouldn’t be accountable and evaluate how they’re complicit in their own oppression. But the fact remains that while a few of us are able to be somewhat successful, the majority of us are seen as expendable by society. Look at Katrina if you need an example.

I understand what you’re saying, but from your logic, that would be assuming racism is dead, but it isn’t. I was actually having the same conversation with my friend, and I asked him, when can we move on from certain ideologies, cuz it seems like we’re stuck. You’re probably not racist, but you need to understand there is stiil a systemic subjugation of Blacks in society. There is still housing and job discrimination, police burtality, poor education for us in this country.
